Make the wall part of the room.
A banquette brings an upholstered seating run into the architecture of a space. It can anchor a café wall, connect restaurant tables or define a dining nook.
Start with the wall and the tables
Measure the usable wall length and mark windows, doors and fixed services. Show the table positions and any breaks you need in the run. The number of tables alone does not define the right seating specification.
Define the relationship to the room
Share whether the banquette meets a wall, turns a corner or has an exposed back. Plinths, ends and transitions to surrounding finishes should be part of the agreed scope.
Choose a backrest with intention
Smooth upholstery keeps the surface quiet. Channels add a repeated rhythm. Tufting introduces a more detailed texture. Discuss cleaning access and physical material samples as well as the look.
Prepare a request that can be reviewed
Send a sketch with labeled measurements, the project city, quantity and material direction. If a designer or contractor is coordinating the room, include the relevant plan information with your request.
